After their start in 2019, Loek won the prize for best composition in the Dutch Jazz Competition in 2022, with the piece 'Wayfarer'. And the summer before that, the band was first runner up in the Getxo International Jazz Competition. In 2019, Loek won the Erasmus Jazz Prize. The Quintet has developed its own recognizable playing style and sound, with plenty of room for their own interpretation and improvisation, and for interaction. Their visual and narrative debut album ‘Wayfarer’ takes central stage during the show. The compositions take you to other musical cultures.
