Dance is as old as mankind. On rock paintings all over the world, long before the first words were written down, we see people dancing enthusiastically. Ritual dances to propitiate the gods, beg for good weather, heal the sick, remember loved ones, court each other, or simply to impress the enemy with a mighty moonwalk. But above all, dance has been a very disarming form of entertainment throughout the ages. Folk dancing, ballroom dancing, rock 'n roll, salsa, disco, hip-hop, street dance, styles abound. And tonight, harmony De Dommelecho is presenting a breathtaking, varied, and colorful mix of music with only one common denominator: Dance!
