Valkenswaards Kamerorkest - Klassiek na Beethoven

  This afternoon, the VKO will take you on a romantic tour. Be amazed by musical pieces that slightly deviate from the standard arrangements. We will kick off with the overture written by opera composer Carl Maria von Weber for the romantic play 'Preziosa' by P.A. Wolff. Then Hanneke Rouw is joining us to play the cello concerto by Robert Schumann, which deviates from the standard sonata form. To complete the circle, we are playing Beethoven, who is considered a transitional composer, because he built a bridge from classical to romantic symphonies. We will be playing Beethoven's 1st symphony in which emotions slowly take precedence over reason, which can be heard in both dynamics and tempi. Can you hear it too?
