There is always something going on in Valkenswaard!

There are many annual events. From the ice skating rink and the Hemelse Sferen Fair to the Ameezing Lekker Buiten and Break the Week Kids events, and from the biannual Scarecrow Festival to the famous Flower Parade.

The area is also rich in equestrian events, including carriage driving competitions during Driving Valkenswaard International on the grounds of Exell Equestrian, the Longines Global Champions Tour jumping competitions at the Tops International Arena and the authentic Whitsun carriage parade. Many a Burgundian event takes place in Valkenswaard as well, such as the Gerstenat Beer Festival and the Pruuvenemert. And then there are the many sports events, ranging from the UCI MTB Eliminator World Cup and the ‘Omloop van Valkenswaard’ cycle race to the Diekirch-Valkenswaard Tour and Valkenloop run.

For theatre and music performances, youth theatre, dance, comedy and much, much more, there is no better place than the Hofnar Culture Centre. They also show children's and art house films and there are regular shows by local performers.
